This Saturday, I'll return to Hillsdale COunty for one of my regular gigs: the Hillsdale County Peace & Justice Festival. This will be my fourth one: I'm supposed to do my thing at 2 p.m.
I look forward to rejoining my friends in spreading the awareness of a bigger cause -- this never-ending war that played such a major role in sending our economic and political situation south. Dear fellow supporters and promoters of peace,
You are invited to attend the Seventh Annual Hillsdale County Peace & Music Festival in Jonesville , Michigan next Saturday, August 9, 2008.
The theme for this year’s festival is “The Cost Of Empire.” Our displays will offer vivid and detailed illustrations of the extent of America ’s worldwide military presence and what has been lost in the ongoing struggle for empire.
Please be our guest if you're in the area next Saturday, or If you wish to represent your organization at the Festival, you may do so at no cost. Bring a chair and/or table, choose a spot in downtown Jonesville’s beautiful Carl Fast Park , and make yourself at home!

This year’s Festival will officially open at 12:00 noon, with setup beginning at 10:00 a.m., so please consider this when planning your travel time. The Festival is scheduled to close at 6:00 p.m., but will be followed immediately by an “Afterglow” party and buffet (& more music!) in the Park (weather permitting).
Carl Fast Park is on the main street ( E. Chicago Street / US-12) in Jonesville, at the intersection of northbound M-99. From the east, take US-127 south to US-12 west. From the west, take I-69 south to US-12 east. A Mapquest link for the Park is below:

Words From The Front: 7/23/08
Well, here we go again...this is the first shot in a massive update of the official site (chairmanralph.com) that served me well for five years. But, as anyone who's managed any long-running venture knows, there comes a time for a change, and that time is now.
This new setup should give me more flexibility, particularly in updating my own content, which is why I'm here...and, not only that, in the age of myspace, this and that freespace.com, the idea of being charged for every little thing that somebody has to do for you behind the curtain seems -- ah, well, downright quaint, if you ask me.
At any rate, as the week passes, I'll be rolling up my sleeves and getting on with the work that I've waited for oh, so long to do...and come up with something sleek, new, and tres moderne...in keeping with what the Secret Agents of Mod, on behalf of The Shadow Government Of Rock 'N' Roll, would expect me to do. Onward and upward.
